Katie Lowes

Katie Lowes, who is best known as the actress on ABC's "Scandal," began her professional career through a passion for the stage. Born and brought up in Queens, New York, Lowes was a lively kid who enjoyed performing and sing in front of friends and family. Lowes like other kids who like to entertain their peers did not let her love to perform fade away as she got older. Lowes was able to become more committed and focused on her craft, eventually enrolling in the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts located at New York University. After graduating in 2002 and entering the world of business, Lowes would go into the world of acting, proving herself a star in "Four Saints of Mexico,"" the mainstage Tisch production. Lowes made a few notable appearances in her beginning career, such as a part in the pilot episode of the FX series "Rescue the Me". However, she worked primarily as a babysitter for the son of Connie Britton. The actor was able to land the role as Quinn Perkins on Shonda Rhimes political drama "Scandal", (ABC, 2012until). Her first impression was that she instantly connected with her character because her name as a middle child, Quinn, is also identical to her name.
