Luciana Paoluzzi, as well as Maria Rota Paoluzzi were raised in Rome. Luciana Paoluzzi is the child of Manlio Paoluzzi (an Italian military officer) and Maria Rota Paoluzzi (a mistress to Benito Mussolini). Her siblings aren't known. She was in a local high school, and after matriculating in 1955 she studied navy engineering at the Scientific Academy of Milan - Luciana was the only woman in her class. Luciana started out as fashion models after only two years. Her career changed soon afterwards, when by pure luck, she was offered her first role in Three Coins in the Fountain. Brett Halsey, an actor himself, was her very first husband. In 1960, they married and made the movie Return to the Peyton Palace. Luciana received custody of Charles, born 13 June 1961. The couple split the following year. Luciana was married to Tony Athony. They dated from 1962 to 1970. Tony Athony was a performer and producer inspired by Luciana's contribution to the movie Green Slime. Based on the film, he wrote and created the Spaghetti Western hybrid that became famous.
